It all started yesterday with a little flurries and Delaney excitingly states "its snowing!" I must admit it was so beautiful. Then fast forward to the afternoon and Gretchen gets off the bus - first question - "Can we go outside and play?" So off to the front yard all bundled up they went. All I heard was squeals of joy! They were out there playing, throwing snowballs and just really enjoying it all and no arguing. Taylor (our new kitten), Jasmine (our dog) and mom (me) watched from the windows. I prepared dinner and then after about 45 minutes they decided it was enough, they were "so cold" as Delaney says. Then it was time to put on some dry, warm clothes and sit down with a glass of hot chocolate or hot cocoa depending on which one you ask. This is what it is all about.
